A Malaysian woman was reportedly beaten by her husband because a photo of their baby was tagged with a stranger's name on Facebook. In a Facebook post, Stella Ooi from Penang, wrote that her child's photo was tagged with the name "SH Dato Lee", but she did not know this person.

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has urged President Mohammadu Buhari to save the country of the national embarrassment being caused by the 2016 Budget that he presented to the National Assembly by formally withdrawing the budget and representing it. According to a statement issued on Tuesday by his Special Assistant on Pubic Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, the governor said “the President should admit that there were avoidable errors in the budget and since he is human and not immune to errors, he should simply do the needful by presenting a new and credible budget to the National Assembly.”

PORT HARCOURT—Ex-Niger Delta agitator, Chief Ateke Tom, has expressed the fear that the Federal Government was playing games to exterminate the leaders of the Niger Delta militancy, who are now beneficiaries of the amnesty programme. He also expressed concern that the Federal Government was making moves to end the amnesty programme, which he said brought lasting peace in the Niger Delta. 

The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) have named Nwankwo Kanu in the top 48 legend of football worldwide. IFFHS released the first phase of the list which includes Brazilian greats Pele and Ronaldo da Lima. Notable Africans on the list include former World player of the year George Oppong Weah, Roger Milla, Rabah Medjer, Muhammed Aboutrika, Mohmud El-Khatub and former Bafana Bafana captain Lucas Radebe. Nwankwo Kanu Nwankwo Kanu IFFHS were formed in 1984 under FIFA’s approval and they focus on archiving football records, statistics and records of associations across the globe. Kanu was the last Nigerian to win the CAF African Footballer of the Year award in 1999. He played for Ajax, Inter Milan and Arsenal.

The young boy who killed 8-year-old MaKayla Dyer with a shotgun on the Tennessee trailer park where they both lived has been found guilty of first-degree murder and sentenced to state custody until he turns 19. The judge’s order, posted online by local television station WATE-TV, said the state should use all reasonable resources to determine why the boy shot the girl, and added he should be treated and rehabilitated so this never happens again.

Singer Jason Derulo was rushed to hospital today after cutting his leg open at a night club in Paris last night. According to reports, Jason, who is currently on tour, was dancing at Le Loft Metropolis nightclub in Paris, when he missed a step and cut his leg in front of shocked fans.
